Survived by sons, George Jr., Doug, Elmer, Paul, Ray and Travis Newman; daughter, Jane Holt; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 2 great, great-grandsons. A life celebration service will be at 11:30 am on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
