Bentley Delancy, a vibrant soul born on July 1, 2009, left this world far too soon on September 8, 2024. His spirit was a tapestry of joy, woven with threads of humor and love. Bentley’s delightful goofiness and great sense of humor brought light to every room he entered, captivating the hearts of family and friends.
Bentley is preceded in death by his maternal great-grandmother, Frances Weber; maternal great-grandmother Gloria Hack; maternal great aunt, Titi Cheryl; and Pitbull, Brooklyn.
Bently is survived by his mother, Christina Hack (Chris); father, Maxwell Delancy, siblings, Adrienna (Elijah) Barga; Bryson Delancy, and Alanna Hack; maternal grandparents, Chris and Laura Hack; paternal grandparents, Hilly Delancy and Ruth Teague; aunts and uncles, Cameron (Jenna) Hack, Colby (Bailey) Hack, and Mike (Allison) Teague, Todd Burrios, Jason (Jasmine) Delancy, Jessica Delancy; cousins, Roman Hack, Lennox Hack, Cohen Hack, Chloe Hack, Madison Hack, Evie Teague, and Asher Teague; and dachshund mix, Bud.
From a young age, Bentley distinguished himself with his dedication to academics, earning excellent grades that reflected not just his intelligence, but also his determination and hard work. He was more than just a great student; he was a lover of life, finding joy in all types of music. Bentley could always be seen with headphones snugly in place, listening to his music.
A true friend to all, Bentley had a loving bond with his two dogs, Brooklyn and Bud, who were his companions, even though he had a love-hate relationship with Bud.
Passionate about sports, Bentley played football at a young age but focused greatly on his academics during high school.
His love for the color blue seemed to match his effervescent personality, representing calmness amid life’s challenges. Bentley made an impact on everyone he encountered—his kindness and light will be deeply missed by those who loved him.
In celebrating Bentley’s remarkable life, we remember not just the unexpected loss of a bright star, but the beautiful light he brought into our lives. May his legacy of laughter, love, and devotion linger in our hearts forever.
