Barbara "Bobbie" Russell

Barbara “Bobbie” Faye Russell, passed away on October 15, 2023, in Dickson, TN. She was born on December 30, 1952, in Nashville, TN. Throughout her life, Bobbie embraced every moment with a light-hearted and caring spirit that touched the lives of many.

Preceded in death by her loving husband Gary L. Russell, Sr.; daughters, Melissa Renee Dial, Betty Annette Yunker; son, Gary L. Russell, Jr. and grandson, Gary L. Russell, III.

Survivors include siblings, Bill (Tammy) Sisco, Johnny (Janet) Sisco, Marie (Dickey) Smith; grandchildren, Lacey Russell, Emily Russell, Jacob Dial; great grandchildren, Lilith Rose, Barrett, Graceland, Briggs and numerous friends and loved ones.

Bobbie's career as a cosmetologist allowed her to cultivate her passion for beauty and self-expression. She delighted in using her talents to make others feel confident and radiant. Whether it was a new hairstyle or a stunning makeover, Barbara had a magical touch that brought out the inner beauty of those she worked with.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Bobbie was most cherished for her genuine personality. Her playful and silly nature had a way of bringing joy to every room she entered. With a big heart and a helping hand always extended towards others, Bobbie never hesitated to assist anyone who asked for help.

In her free time, Bobbie found happiness in spending time with her family. The bond between them was unbreakable, and their memories together will forever be treasured. She particularly loved traveling, with Hawaii being one of her favorite destinations.

Bobbie's passing leaves an irreplaceable void in the lives of those who knew and loved her deeply. Each of them will carry her memory within their hearts, finding solace and strength in the love they shared with her.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, from 11:30am to 1:30pm with a Celebration of Life at 1:30pm at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home located at 9090 TN-100 in Nashville, TN.
