Barbara Ellen Beard, aged 82, born March 3, 1944, in McCrory, Arkansas, passed away at home, surrounded by family in Dickson, Tennessee.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Lydia Palmer; and her beloved husband Glenneth Lavoy Beard.

She is survived by her daughter, Kenna Walker (Gregg) of Murray, KY; grandson Kagan Walker (Kayla) of Versailles, KY; granddaughter Rebecca Madding (Josh) of Murray, KY; and three great-grandchildren, Leighton, Lillian and Levi Madding of Murray, KY; and a fourth due in December.

She has several sisters and brothers in Arkansas, along with her beloved family friend, Carol Ann Passmore, of Murray, KY.

She worked for General Motors Delco in Kokomo, IN, as a secretary. She and her husband built and renovated many homes.

She enjoyed working alongside her husband on their farm and building things.

She enjoyed crafting and sewing and was a very generous person who helped others. She loved her family and most recently enjoyed visiting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She loved going to gospel and country music concerts and was devoted to her Baptist faith.
