Babak Bannon

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the untimely passing of Dr. Babak “Bobby” Bannon on July 1st, 2023, at the age of 42.  

Bobby was born in Iran to the late Dr. Hooshang Bannon and Mrs. Mersedeh Nosrati. He graduated from Shiraz University of Medical Sciences and was a physician scientist with a curious and creative mind who had several patents under his name. He was passionate about astronomy, traveling and cooking. Bobby was a Clinical Fellow of Autonomic Disorders at Vanderbilt University Medical Center at the time of his passing. 

 He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 16 years Dr. Mitra Mehrad, his two beloved children Mina and Milan, his mother Mrs. Mersedeh Nosrati, his siblings Mr. Behdad Bannon, and Dr. Behnam Bannon.  

A celebration of life service will be held at the pavilion of Harpeth Hills Funeral Home on Sunday, July 9, 2023, from 1:00pm until 3:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Bobby’s honor.
