Nashville, TN – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ann Snead Reed, who died peacefully on Friday afternoon surrounded by her 3 daughters.

Ann was known for her unwavering faith in God, her beautiful soprano voice, her servant heart towards her friends and anyone in need and her contribution to educating many students throughout the years.

She is survived by her daughters, Keelie (Richard) Garbee of Sewickley, Pennsylvania, Kay (Andy) Jones of Nashville, Tennessee, and Kristie (Doug) Brown of Louisville, Kentucky. She adored all of her grandchildren: Ryan (Hannah) Garbee, Tyler (Danna) Garbee, Lyndsey Garbee, Bailey Garbee, Anne Merrill Jones, James Brown, and Melanie (Drew) Wilson. She was blessed to meet her first great-grandson, Tyler Garbee’s son, Rhys Evers Garbee.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 3:00 pm at Ann’s home church of 52 years, Bellevue United Methodist Church. Friends and family are invited to attend and celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bellevue United Methodist Church, 7501 Old Harding Pike, Nashville, TN 37221
