Alicia Crawford

June 23, 1944 — September 18, 2025

Alicia Crawford, a beacon of love and kindness, was born on June 23, 1944, in Mexico. She departed this world on September 18, 2025, leaving a mark on the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. Alicia was defined by her spirit—She cannot be encapsulated into just five words, but ones that describe her best are: loving, generous, faithful, protective, and constant. These traits shone brightly through her relationships and the lives she touched.

Alicia is preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Maria Gonzalez; and granddaughter, Abbey Crawford.

Alicia is survived by her loving husband, Harold Crawford; daughter, Mary Kaye Holt (Gary); and her 4 sons, Victor Crawford (Kim), Ray Crawford (Tina), Michael Crawford (Beth), and Jacob Crawford (Heidi). Alicia is also survived by 40 grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A devotee of her family, Alicia cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, showering them with affection and attention. Her home was adorned with cozy blankets and vases of flowers, evoking an atmosphere of comfort. Many memories were made across her kitchen counter, where the aroma of bread cooling blended with her delightful homemade tortillas.

Alicia’s journey in life was marked by significant milestones. She was a proud member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where her devout faith brought her joy and community. Her reputation for bestowing remarkable financial gifts became well known, embodying her generous spirit. Generosity flowed from her heart always. Influenced profoundly by the Driver Family, who sponsored her family's citizenship in the United States, Alicia carried an immense gratitude towards them and life.

Her interests included family time, literature, baking, decorating, and the soothing embrace of the ocean. A lover of music, she found solace in the harmonies of The Beach Boys, The Tabernacle Choir, and Roy Orbison, allowing melodies to enrich her daily life. Travel broadened her horizons, with San Diego and Paris holding special places in her heart.

Alicia was a radiant presence who smiled at everyone she encountered, always extending a friendly "hello” to everyone. Her protective nature enveloped her loved ones, ensuring that they felt safe and cherished, no matter what they faced. Her legacy is of love, consistent support, and the bonds of family that she nurtured.

As we gather to remember Alicia, we celebrate a life well-lived. In her absence, we hold close the memories etched in our hearts. She will be deeply missed.
