    Dear Family,
All of us at the American Legion wish to join others in expressing our condolences on the passing of your dear William. We are so thankful for men who took an oath and got involved in preserving the freedom we enjoy in this great country. I want to share some good news: God is the God of ALL COMFORTS and therefore is willing to provide everything we need for a grief journey. Further, Jesus Knows and Jesus Cares about how you all feel. May He begin now to heal your hearts as you travel on a grief journey for a while. Someone wrote, “healing comes through story.” Tell the stories for as long as you choose. Tell the good stories, the bad stories and the silly and sad ones. May the Lord walk with you each step of the way.
    Eddie Rogers, Department Chaplain
    State of TN American Legion
