The Lord is near to the brokenhearted. Psalm 34:18
Kim and Pat, this Psalm has been my prayer for you both. William was a fine young man. The comments and outpouring of love by friends is evidence of the impact he had on many. His smile and wit are two things I’ll remember. God bless your family, Mike Smith.

He was an outstanding friend and there for anyone that needed him. Anyone that actually knew him had nothing but good things to say about him. Very sorry for your loss. There are a lot of sad Marines this week after learning about this tragedy.

William will be missed by so many people and I pray that the Lord lifts y’all up in the coming days, weeks, months and years. William cared so much for others. He was recently involved in my equine services for heroes program as a horse leader and was always there for the veteran he was working with. He even stepped in to help me with civilian adults with disabilities when I was short handed. This past Friday he was there to help me with a horse camp full of children. I was William’s assistant wrestling coach at Hillwood High School and even then he exhibited that same caring character that we have all come to know and love. I will forever miss him. May God bless William and you and your family.

    All my best..

I served in the Marine Corps with your son. He was one of a kind. Always jovial no matter what shenanigans were thrown at him. It was an honor and privilege to know him. My deepest condolences to you and your family. Heaven gained a good one and I’ll continue to share as many stories about him as I can so his memory lives on.
