Walter R. Jenkins, age 71, of Burns TN went to be with his Heavenly Father Thursday, July 16, 2020. He was born June 7, 1949 in Nashville, TN to the late Louis and Catherine Jenkins. Walter was a medic in the US Navy and was an avid golfer.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Sinclair Jenkins; stepdaughter, Lori Hagewood (John); stepdaughter, Michelle Harper (Jason); brother, Arnold Jenkins (Mary); sister, Melissa Jenkins; brother, Dennis Jenkins (Cindy); and grandchildren, Jonathan and Kathryn Hagewood and Will and Abbie Clair Harper.

The family will receive friends from 3-6 p.m. Monday, July 20th at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. A celebration of life graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 21st at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. The US Navy will be providing military honors.

Pallbearers serving will be Mark Stromatt, Brian Slater, Brian Baker, Trent Jackson, Ronnie Mangrum, Jim Dreaden, and Woody Curtis Miller (AKA The Bellevue Mafia).

    Wayne and I went to school with Walter and I graduated with him . We hadn’t seen him in years and we are so sorry to hear this. Prayers for all of his family and friends. RIP Walter. Go rest high on that mountain!
