Ray “Pop” Furlough- Age 79, Fairview, June 11, 2019.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judy Furlough; children “Mitzy” Michelle Davis (Tim) and Richard Furlough; grandchildren, Matthew White, Mark White, Blake Furlough, Ammarie Furlough; Fourteen great-grandchildren; brother, Malcom Furlough (Joyce).

He was a great man of God, his family and loved dearly by all. It would take a mighty big man to fill Pop’s shoes.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2019 and Friday, 1-2 p.m. at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.

    I loved Pop, and he meant the world to so many. He made such an impact and will be greatly missed and remembered. We are praying for your family during this time. We were honored to know Pop. We were blessed to have known him.

    I always loved Ray and Judy we spent many years in church together I loved hearing Ray sing and Play the guitar at Elam and wright church and when he could get Judy to sing they both have Beautiful voices they Blessed my Heart when they sung Ray loved everybody he always had a smile on his face and you could see the love he had for God when he sung I had the Pleasure of sining with Ray and Judy and it meant the world to me I have such Precious Memories of Ray and Judy My Prayers are With Judy and the whole family I know this family was very close and Judy will be so lost without him Such A Beautiful loving couple you could see the love they had for each other he always said Judy was his baby I remember how he used to play with her hair in church just loving on her True love like they had are hard to find Sweet Family y’all are in my Prayers and Thoughts Praying for strength 🙏🙏🙏

    I worked with Ray for many years at Cooper Electric. He was a fine man whom I thought the world of. We had good times working together. I will miss him.
