Nellie was a kindhearted, angelic, and stylish lady. Her family and church family of Charlotte Heights Church of Christ always came first. She was considered the peacekeeper and the glue of her family. She was the manager of the lady’s department at Walmart for over 30 years. Her Walmart family was dear to her heart.
Graveside service will be held Wednesday December 30, 2020 at 4:00 at Harpeth Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Churches of Christ Disaster Relief.

What a sweet lady. I haven’t talked to Nellie for several years, but always thought fondly of her. She and J.B carried me and Shirley to eat Krystals when they first opened on West End. Many years ago. I didn’t realize she had such a large extended family. My heart goes out to all of you..Love

Mrs. Buttrey was the sweetest! I was privileged to have been raised in the same church she attended. Really enjoyed seeing and talking with her when she would come into the office for her routine checks. She will be greatly missed!
Thoughts & Prayers for her Family! 💕
