Jean B. Weeks, 91 of Nashville, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2020 with her family beside her. As she would say, “She caught her Jesus Bus to Heaven”.
She’s preceded in death by her father, Stewart Bush; mother, Josephine Bush; brother, William Bush; brother, Robert Bush; son, James Weeks; and grandson, James Weeks, Jr.
She is survived by her sister, Sarah Smith (Charles); son, Carl Weeks (Connie); son, Steve Weeks; and daughter, Carolyn Bradford (David). Grandchildren Erin Weeks, Trey Weeks, Jessica Anthony (Chris), Kayla Browning (Dakota), Melissa Stephens (Trey) and Matthew Bradford. Seven great-grandchildren and countless friends she called family.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a true friend to many. She was known as “Miss Jean”. She never met a stranger and was kind and giving to all she met.
She worked for the State of Tennessee in the Department of Safety and Department of Revenue for a combined 34 years. After that, she returned to work part time at Beaman Automotive for 24 years.
She loved simple things, sitting in the sun “pooling it” in the backyard pool. Simple get togethers with family or friends whether a home cooked meal, cook out, or a favorite restaurant. Or simply talking with her friends and family on the phone just catching up on each other.
She was a kind and loving woman and will greatly missed by all of us.

I worked with Jean Weeks for many years at the State of Tennessee. I have never met such a beautiful lady as Jean Weeks inside and out. She never met a stranger as Ione as I had known her. She was a very humble person, kind spoken, and the best friend that you would have in your life. Jean and I kept in contact over the phone and I visited her a few times at Beaman. Every time you would see her, she was always happy and had that beautiful smile on her face. I would like for her family to know, I cherished the friendship that we had thru the years. I know that the Jesus Bus to Heaven right now is having the time of their like with Jean on there. RIP my dear Friend. You will be truly missed.
    Love you Jean Weeks.

Granny Weeks, as I knew her, was a beautiful
lady who made me feel like I’d known her forever when Jess and Chris got married. Through the years, she exemplified a Christian servanthood by caring and loving our family unconditionally. She would call me often to check on us. She certainly had a “servant”s heart.” I will cherish the memories I have of her and smile because I know she’s with God!

My sister, Jean – We were very close. She was the last of my siblings, and I worked hard over the years to help her raise her family as a single mother. We have remained very close over all these years. This represents the ending of an era for me. Rest in peace, dear sister, you certainly deserve it.
    With love, Sarah

I met Ms. Jean in 1999 when I started working at Beaman. She was a wonderful person who never met a stranger. It was easy to love Ms. Jean because she was a kind-hearted person and a cheerful giver. Ms. Jean and I talked on the phone several times a week and my family and I loved her. I will always cherish our friendship and I will love her always.
    Love, Chonte`

I met Jean in 2008 and a few Just a few years later I would be going to her house on a regular basis… She would feed me and I would spend the night on numerous numerous occasions… I loved her as a friend but also as a mother figure that I never had and she loved me with vigorous words at times LOL I told her that she should’ve been in a pulpit… She was an extraordinary loving person and very giving and I know that she is making a ruckus in heaven probably on some kind of communication device whether they have cell phones or not… She will always be in my heart always☺️

Ms. Jean Weeks was a very special person to me. I worked with her for 24 years at Beaman and I have never met a more caring, giving and loving person. We became very close and talked every day. Everyone that new her loved her and she loved them also. I will miss her loving smile and big heart. I know she is watching over all of us from above. I miss her already and will love her forever.

Ms. Jean, we all miss you. We miss the conversations and insight you shared. We miss experiencing the compassion you showed in your thoughts and actions. Your values and character live on through all you have touched in your days. You always spoke of Carolyn, David, your close family and your extended family with such deep understanding, love and compassion. Seeing all at Beaman gather with hearts and words filled with respect and admiration for your 90th birthday celebration and seeing how even in times of sickness (RC) others in the hospital drew strength from knowing you are holding them in your heart and prayers gives us all strength. We miss you and pray for those we know and have not met in your family for the loss of sweet Ms. Jean but know we will be with you again soon with the Lord!
