I have know Matt since he was 3 years old and thought of him and his brother Chris like they were my own kids. Matt was such a kind, caring , intelligent person. He had a heart of gold and will be truly missed. He always had a smile on his face and would do anything in the world for you. His mother and I have been best friends for over 30 years. My heart goes out to his family and can’t begin to know what your going through. Just know that my prayers are going out to you all. My husband Ray spent many times talking with Matt in depth over things or just playing pool or poker.

Offering sincere condolences. I am so very sorry for the loss of your dear loved one. The Bible gives us a sure hope that very soon we will have the opportunity to see them again by means of the resurrection (Acts 24:15) May your family find comfort in God’s promise of an earthly paradise (Psalm 37:29) where there will be no more pain, sickness, or sorrow due to death (Rev. 21:4,5)

We were shocked and saddened to learn of Matt’s passing. I apologize for not being at his service. I, unfortunately, had eye surgery and was unable to read the newspaper until yesterday, which missed the service. My boys grew up with Chris and Matt, and we all have sweet memories of those years of being neighbors and friends. Our sincere condolences to the family.

I am incredibly sad to see and hear this news.I am so sorry I just now saw this. This past August I happened to wake up one morning early and lying there I began to remember old times with Matt and Chris Woods at their house. Of course David and Bill Bowers were thee a lot too. I texted my mother just sharing with her what good times those were. Here’s what I wrote in the text to her: “Woke up this morning remembering old days with Matt and Chris Woods. Knight Rider Big Wheel, skateboards, Diamond Back BMX bikes, Nintendo, Movies-RAD and Stand By Me. Glad I had those good times with them :)”
That was on Aug. 26 this year. It amazes me how The Lord will put memories of people you still care about in your mind and He’s telling you something. He wa reminding me how fortunate I was to have a great childhood friend like Matt. I am so sorry for the whole family. God bless you all and will be thinking and praying for you.
