So often our hearts have been saddened,
We’ve given them up one by one -
And trust that one day we’ll be gladdened,
We know that God’s Will must be done.
Our choices are not in these matters -
For we’d choose that we never would part
With our dads, sisters, brothers, sons,
daughters and mothers -
Who are all so dear to our hearts.
Age is not always the beckoning factor,
For we’ve seen the young, middle and old -
And our love is no less and not lacking
When the darkness seems to take hold.
We know there is brightness with shadows,
And there’s light at the end of the way,
And the light at the end of the tunnel
Will be shining like brightness of day.

I am signing on behalf of my mother, Laverne Boone Denton. She is currently in assisted living and not able to attend. She and Mary were lifelong friends. Mary was a kind and wonderful lady and will be missed.

What an honor it was to have known Miss Mary. She was a beautiful lady not only on the outside but inside as well. She always spoke when I saw her out somewhere. She was a true Christian in ever sense. She will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and many friends for comfort.
