    John, Jean, Jake and Sarah,
Our thoughts and prayers go out for your family. Just seems yesterday when the hardest thing we had to do was to get them to school and sports in the carpool!

I think Matthew Shuff says he and John fished at every body of water we pass. He was a genuine soul for what I knew, and Matthew loved him like a brother.

My love and prayers go out to your entire family. I am so very sorry for your loss! I’m just receiving the news via facebook, we thought the world of John and I can’t believe he’s gone. I met him years ago when he accepted a position with Wells Fargo and came to work in Kingsport, TN for a while. He and his dog stayed with my husband and I and our two dogs wile he “tried the area out”. I helped him find a place to rent after he decided to stay a while. He was a delight to know and to work with every day. My husband and I watched after him like our own (he was close to our kid ages). I send my sincere condolences and pray that you find comfort in all the wonderful memories!

John was such fun to be around. He never met a stranger and always welcomed you with open arms. I loved paddling with him and loved watching him swim even more! He was such a thoughtful considerate person. He mailed us the sweetest baby gifts before our son was born. Peace be with you.

I have many amazing memories of Johnny as a boy; playing war games, camping with Shauna, his boldness, vast energy etc. We have all lost a lot. So sorry.
