I am deeply saddened by this sudden loss. The Hostettlers were “family” to us, and Joe Joe was like a younger “brother.” I have so many wonderful memories of family dinners and spending Christmas Eve together every year. I still remember the time on Merrill Lane that Joe Joe made me laugh so hard I literally fell on the kitchen floor. Regardless of the circumstances, he was always a kind soul with a loving heart. He holds a special place in mine.

Poor, sweet Joe! We are so sad that his life had to end this way. I wish we could have done more to help him. I know Jimmy did everything in his power to help Joe over the past 25 years, but Joe just could not conquer his inner demons. So many people who worked with Joe at Hiller over the years have expressed how much they cared for him. We will always love him for his wonderful heart. I pray you are finally at peace, Joe.

Emily and Family. May peace be with you all. I pray for healing in your hearts as you mourn the loss of Joe. He was truly an amazing man who always had kind words to say of everyone he encountered. I enjoyed getting to know him during his time at Hiller. There was never a time that I spoke with him that he was not boasting about his daughter Emily. Cherish the good times for they will carry you through. Rest in peace Joe-Joe
