Frank W. Greer- Age 86, of Pegram, TN, passed away February 10, 2021.
Frank was a loving husband and father and his family always came first. He was always there with a helping hand if you needed him.
Frank was proud of being born in Pegram, and lived there his whole life, with the exception of 20 months in North Korea when he joined the Army. He served as the US Postmaster in Pegram for 27 years. He also spent many years as the President of the Pegram Community Club, where he was a very large part of getting the Town of Pegram incorporated. He goes by many names: Husband, Dad, PopPop, Postmaster and the Great BBQ Man. He never met a stranger and kept a smile on his face always. A handshake was a sealed deal for him.
He said, “Life is for the Living” and he loved life to the fullest each day.
Preceded in death by his parents Ovia Elizabeth Jackson Greer and Clarence Homer Greer; wife Shirley Story Greer; sisters Ovia Lee Deal, Annie Mai Stuart, Martha Stuart and Lucille Mason; brothers Howard Greer and Miller Greer. Survived by his children Edward L. Greer (Kristi) and Linda Hardin (Terry); grandchildren Cory Greer, RJ Kern and Wyatt Hardin; sister Frances Ketchum (Wayne); brother Jack Greer; brothers-in-law Neal Story & Bobby Story; many nieces, nephews & extended family members.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alive Hospice of Nashville and Pegram United Methodist Church.
A Life Celebration will be held 12:00pm, Saturday. Visitation will be 10:00am-12:00pm, Saturday at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, 9090 Hwy 100, Nashville, TN, 37221, 615-646-9292, harpethhills.com

We’re so sorry to have lost our uncle Frank. Our family reunions won’t be the same without him . He was a very special man and uncle!! Reunited in heaven with aunt Shirley and the rest of our family members who have made the journey to the other side. May you Rest In Peace uncle Frank and know that we will miss you dearly. Sorry to hear this Frank has been a part of my life for many years when I went in the Lodge his DAD and Doris SAWERS were there for me Loved Franks BBQ he will be missed by many PRAYERS TO THE FAMILY RIPBROTHER

I just found out at this late date of the passing of Frank,never a frown ,always a great conversation, a fine man indeed.
I have know this kind man since moving to the area in 1960.they were my neighbors on Savely Rd,as were Shirley’s parents. May he rest in peace.
