Though I was planning for so many more great times together, and even told Steve a few weeks ago that I was mad at him for leaving us, I am thankful Steve is no longer dealing with such excruciating pain. His quantity of life may have been cut short, but he lived a full life of quality; surrounded by a most loving wife, kids who have become most remarkable adults, and grandkids that brought a wonderful new joy. Thanks, Steve, for not punching me when I kissed you on the forehead after singing happy birthday to you in Cabo in front of the karaoke gathering. I even surprised myself on that one. I sure enjoyed when you hit a perfect drive down the middle of the fairway in Cayman only to have it stopped short of out-driving me by a sunbathing iguana. Still can’t believe you talked me into having a pedicure in California. First and only one I ever had. I noticed you never offered another game after both the Predators and Titans lost on the same weekend when you and Janene were so nice to take us to the games while we were in town. Superstitious that Anjelica and I were bad luck, I guess – lol. So many wonderful memories that I will cherish, and nothing really beat when we could just hang out together sharing our lives. Well, this is way longer than Steve would prefer to read; so thanks for letting me be a part of your life. It’s one thing to be brothers-in-law, but I feel especially blessed to have been such good friends. I’m not going to say good-bye. Rather, til we meet again, my brother…

Dr. Steven Mann has been such an important person in my families’ lives for many many lives. He saw me through the deaths of both my parents. We shared Elmcroft experiences when both of our families were there. Our children were in school together from Kindergarten through college. We have exchanged many times through church and school, not to mention all the medical care. I believe you were my doctor about 25 years- since Inglewood. On my next to last medical appointment you told me to stop worrying. On the final appointment we hugged at the start and end of the appointment.
Your excellent care saw me through many crises. I know there are thousands of patients who say the same things of how you made us well and happy. Yours was a life of service. Thank you cannot cover the gratitude and affection I feel. All the love I can send to Janene, and the precious kids and grandkids. The photos show an inkling of how they adored you. That will never go away. Many wonderful memories. Rest in peace. Big hugs, Connie Arnold Jackson

I was a patient of Dr. Mann’s since 1989. I saw him about 3 weeks ago and he talked about how proud he was of each member of his family. He asked for prayers for his wife, family, and work family. I’m so sorry for the loss of Dr. Mann. Know that I am praying for you during this time.

Dr. Mann was my daughter Tracy’s doctor for years. She had diabetes and many other medical problems. We drove from Monteagle Mountain for her appointments. She really liked him and he was so good to her. We appreciate all he did to try to help her stay well. She passed away also on July 17th. She was 58. I send the family prayers that the Lord will be with you and give you peace. He was a good man and Tracy always commented how much he loved his family. Pictures of them and their good times were on the walls in examining room. Bless you all. .

Our condolences to Dr. Mann’s family and co workers. He will be greatly missed. He was our Doctor for sixteen years. We respected his knowledge and trusted him explicitly. We will surely miss him and his beautiful smile. We will also miss the bounty of pictures of his family and seeing them grow. .Then came the grandchildren. It was a Joy to see him beam with pride as he called each one by name.

Dr. Mann was not only a great doctor, but a good friend as well. My husband and I have been his patients for almost thirty years. Words cannot express the thanks we owe him for all the care he gave our family. He just recently in the past two years, helped me with my mother who suffered with Alzheimer’s. Sometimes in life a special person touches your life in a profound way, he was that special person. In speaking of how great a doctor he was, he was able to pin point a very specific problem that resulted in my husband and I having a beautiful baby girl. We will forever be greatful for this. In speaking with him on many office visits, I knew that he was a Christian man and was not afraid to tell you about the Lord. We will miss him, but know we will see him again one day. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Shocked and so sorry to hear about the passing of Dr. Mann. He has been my doctor since the days his office was on Gallatin Road near the Fire Station I worked at. When I retired and moved from the area, I still came to him. He was so nice, concerned with my health, and easy to talk to. I saw him in April and was scheduled for another visit next April. He will be missed.

Dr. Mann did a lot for my health and wellness. He was truly a man of God because he cared about everybody. He advised me to get this or that checked out and referred me to the right office. He offered so much of himself to his patients and I thank God for Dr. Mann being an important part of my health team. I thank Dr. Mann for being so easy to talk to when I needed to talk about my health issues. May God Bless his family and give him the Royal Treatment in Heaven….Amen!
