Miss Baker was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Juel Baker of Miami, FL.

Survivors include, cousin Michael Emery (wife Debbie) of Powell, TN.

She was a devoted member of Immanuel Baptist Church and a retired editor from Lifeway Christian Resources. Miss Baker was a Sunday School Teacher and member of Woman’s Missionary Union.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at Immanuel Baptist Church, 222 Belle Meade Blvd., Nashville, TN.

    Cosette was a sweet, loving friend and mentor to me . Heaven has gained a wonderful lady and today I am thankful that one of these days I will see her again!

    As a conference leader and editor Cosette improved the skills of countless children’s Sunday School teachers. She was both talented and committed.

    Cosette was devoted to training teachers and an innovator of new methods in teaching children. She was a wonderful friend and mentor. She could see potential in others and encouraged them to develop their potential. I was one among many of those who learned from her.
