William Glass

William E. “Bill” Glass- Age 74 of Nashville, passed away July 29, 2021.

Bill was a loving husband and father with a heart for providing for his family’s every need. He was also a proud veteran, having served in the United States Air Force and in active combat during the Vietnam War. His greatest priority was family, always seeking an opportunity to be together on holidays, vacations, ballgames or at the family pool.

An avid sports fan, Bill was a “founding member” of both the Tennessee Titans and Nashville Predators season ticket holders clubs and rarely missed a game in either teams’ franchise history.  He also attended literally thousands of his children’s and grandchildren’s football, basketball, softball, baseball, soccer and volleyball games, as well as cross country and track meets. He was also an athlete himself; he often told the story about playing catcher in high school with future Major Leaguer Tommy John on the mound.

Preceded in death by parents Betty Bond Glass and Willard Glass. Survived by his wife of 53 years, Connie Glass; daughter Michelle Carney (John); son Brandon Glass (Christa Thornton, Fiancée); grandchildren Evan and Leah Carney; brother Richard Glass (Tania); loyal companion Buddy; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Masks will be required to be worn for visitation and services.

A Life Celebration will be held 11:00am, Monday August 2. Visitation will be 2-5pm, Sunday and 10-11am, Monday at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, 9090 Hwy 100, Nashville, TN, 37221, harpethhills.com
