Really sorry to lose my first cousin George——–even though I have not been in contact with him in years.

Reading the obituary stating that there had never been a dog or cat that George did not love made me remember his big, white dog Woofus that was killed by one of our neighbors here in Mississippi while George and I were visting relatives in Nebraska (along with his sister Mary Helen and our Aunt Mary) back in the early 1950’s. George was probably age 12 or 13 and I was maybe 9 or 10 at the time.

Woofus was George’s heart and soul at the time————so, here is a salute to George from his dog Woofus and cousin Anson from down in the Mississippi Delta.

My most sincere and deepest condolences to the family during this difficult time, please draw close to God at this time as Isaiah 49:13 reminds us that He comforts his people and shows mercy to his own afflicted ones.
