Established in 1965, Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens is dedicated to providing the families of Middle Tennessee the most beautiful and peaceful setting for their loved ones memorialization. In 1990 the addition of the funeral home allowed us to provide full professional funeral, cremation, and cemetery services to the families of Davidson County, Williamson County, Cheatham County, Hickman County, and all of Middle Tennessee. PERPETUAL CARE In 1965 Harpeth Hills established a perpetual care endowment fund to ensure the future care and maintenance of the cemetery forever without assessing the owners or families any additional cost. In 1979 the State of Tennessee enacted legislation that required all cemeteries to establish a perpetual care endowment fund and today these are regulated by the Department of Commerce and Insurance. Today our cemeteries place 20% of the property cost into irrevocable trusts that are currently valued at over $5.5 million dollars. Your family will never have to worry about the maintenance and upkeep of your cemetery. OUR TRANSFER PROGRAM Through our membership with the ICFA (International Cemetery and Funeral Association), families relocating to Middle Tennessee are able to transfer their investments in cemetery property to our properties. Additionally, our families that relocate away from Middle Tennessee are able to transfer their investments in our Gardens to cemeteries closer to their new home. Harpeth Hills is a full service cemetery that offers options for every family. PRESTIGIOUS MAUSOLEUMS Harpeth Hills is proud to offer two of the most prestigious mausoleums in Tennessee. The Bell Tower mausoleum offers the beautiful sound of carillon bells, close proximity to our funeral home, and overlooks our lake. You reach the mausoleum by walking through our attractive stone walled estates. The newest addition to our property, the Mountain View Mausoleum, offers a breathtaking hilltop view of the entire cemetery and the surrounding countryside. COMMUNITY MAUSOLEUMS We offer several choices of community mausoleums all placed in garden-like settings with prices that are comparable to and sometimes less than traditional ground burial. GROUND BURIAL Over 25,000 families have chosen traditional ground burial at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Family Walled Garden Estates offer families private ground burial surrounding our majestic Bell Tower Mausoleum. Estates provide families the option of upright memorialization which includes monument and memorial benches. Estates for families of two to sixty-four burials are available. Family Hedge Garden Estates provides families private estates for ground burial with a natural setting at an affordable price. The estates provide families the option of upright memorialization, which can include monuments and memorial benches. Community Garden Burial is offered in over eighty acres of scenic and meticulously maintained gardens to those families looking for beauty and value. CREMATION OPTIONS: Harpeth Hills is proud to offer the first cremation area designed specifically for cremation memorialization. Our features are tastefully landscaped in a natural setting overlooking our lake and stream.
