"We are committed to providing personalized service for all families with compassion, dignity, and respect while exercising the highest ethical standards and practices; promoting the Harpeth family properties for their quiet beauty and serenity as places of lasting tribute to the memories of those entrusted to our care; and promoting the value of selecting funeral, cremation and cemetery services in advance of need."
We believe that our most valuable asset cannot be seen or touched - it is the goodwill
of people we have served and people who recommend us.
We are one of the few remaining family owned and operated funeral homes and cemeteries
serving Nashville and Middle Tennessee and the only remaining family owned cemetery in Nashville.
Unlike the large out-of-state chains that exist in the area, (who sometimes confuse the public by having the original
family name in ads), we put your needs first. Chains tend to serve stockholders and investors first.
We have never turned a family away for a lack of money. People come before profits. We help young
families at a difficult time when they lose an infant by providing our funeral services at no cost to the family.
We offer the widest range of options available, while staying moderately priced. Other funeral homes
charge extra for basic register books, acknowledgment cards, and refrigeration (if cremation).
In addition to providing this at no extra charge, we provide stamps for acknowledgment cards, delivering the
plants to the home after the service, and our grief support program, Mourning to Morning.
As death care professionals, every day that we come to work we have the opportunity to make
important differences in people's lives. Quite simply, this is our goal. We back up our service with
a complete guarantee. Perhaps this is why we are the only firm to put our guarantee to you in writing.
We encourage people to visit our facilities, meet our staff, and compare. We emphasize personal service
where the same funeral director and family service counselor follows through from the arrangement
conference to the funeral services. We comfortably carry our services for all religious denominations and
cultural beliefs. All of our embalming preparation is done at each of our facilities and not centralized like
some large chain funeral homes.
We meet the federal standards necessary to provide services to members of all branches of the military, even providing special discounts through our Hero's Program.
Some other companies discourage or will not allow people to visit their crematories; we welcome
your inspection. Our crematory is located next to our West Harpeth Funeral Home and represents the newest and cleanest technology.
Our family and our staff associates are involved in the betterment of our community by being active in their churches,
schools, charitable causes, and community and state boards. William Gregory, CEO and part owner, currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Cemetery Association of Tennessee and the Southern Cemetery and Funeral
Association. We are members and meet the standards of:
- Better Business Bureau of Middle Tennessee
- Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce
- Selected Independent Funeral Homes
- National Funeral Directors Association
- Tennessee Funeral Directors Association
- Crematory Association of North America
- International Cemetery and Funeral Association
- Southern Cemetery and Funeral Association
- Cemetery Association of Tennessee
