Why is it necessary for a participating group to sign the "Acknowledgement Form?"
The Federal Trade Commission requires every funeral home to publish its General Price List (GPL) and have this information available to all families. Funeral homes are prohibited from arbitrarily deviating from the GPL. The "Acknowledgement Form" confirms that your group is participating in the Peace of Mind Plus program and is entitled to the exclusive discount. Why is it necessary for an individual to receive a Peace of Mind Plus card in order to receive the discount? Simply stated, the card eliminates any confusion about eligibility. Since the discount is good for at time of need arrangements as well as prearrangements, the card will avoid future questions about who is entitled to receive this exclusive discount. The card also serves as a Medical Alert card. Are there any additional benefits for participating in the Peace of Mind Plus program? Yes! Participants will receive a Peace of Mind Plus Planning and Caregiver Guide that includes a Tennessee Living Will and Tennessee Durable Power of Attorney for Healthcare. Participants also receive at no cost a $5,000 Child/Grandchild/Great-Grandchild Protection Certificate, a complimentary cemetery space (one per family for those who do not already own), 24 hour grief support, and the opportunity to include parents and children in the program.
