Harpeth Family Funeral Services has been family-owned and operated since 1965. William Gregory, the CEO has been managing Harpeth Hills with his family since 1978. Our philosophy is simple: provide the same level of care we would desire for our own family. It is gratifying to know that 100% of our families surveyed would recommend Harpeth Hills and their family of funeral homes and cemeteries to others.
We continue to strive to become even better, with constant improvements in service, facilities and merchandise, while staying moderately priced. In a climate of world-wide corporate mergers, it is comforting to know that when your family’s greatest time of need arises the Harpeth Family will be here for you.
Our staff associates are involved in the betterment of our community by being active in their churches, schools, charitable causes, and community boards.
You will find that our staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and low-key. We sincerely care about the people we serve and in doing things right. Our service to you continues in the months beyond the funeral ceremony as we have a bereavement counselor on our staff who acts as a resource to people who are grieving. His job is to assist grieving people (such as explaining death to a child). We also offer a complete pre-planning service which locks-in the cost and provides the peace of mind that the plans you make today will make things so much easier for your survivors.
We encourage people to visit our facilities, meet our staff, and compare. We are members and meet the standards of the Better Business Bureau, Chamber of Commerce, Cremation Association of North America, Tennessee Funeral Directors Association, Cemetery Association of Tennessee, Southern Cemetery and Funeral Association, National Funeral Directors Association, ICFA, and Selected Independent Funeral Directors. We emphasize personal service where there is usually just one person who follows through from the arrangements to the services. We comfortably carry out services for all religious denominations and cultural beliefs. All of our embalming and preparation is done at our facility and not centralized like some large corporate-owned funeral homes.
Memories fade over time... what will become of the rich legacy of a life well-lived?
Each of us has a story to tell about those we love. The experiences, lessons, trials, and triumphs that were encountered should not be lost. Stories link past, present, and future. Passing down historical information and stories is a great way to keep family memories alive, creating a lasting legacy that will be enjoyed for generations to come.
It's easy to forget the laughter at family reunions, the kind gestures, the humorous little anecdotes, and the personal struggles and hardships that shape the character of those we cherish. Memorials create the bridge to the past... they hold families together. Children and grandchildren may be too young or too busy to listen right now. Yet one day they will be interested; they will want to know their heritage and how that has influenced them.
Preserve the memories you know... hear stories you have not heard... capture them forever as a cherished gift.
We proudly offer Remembrances, a video memory capture service that allows you to save what should not be lost- the stories of a lifetime.
Our staff is courteous and sympathetic... Our facilities are comfortable and immaculate... Our services are handled with dignity and respect. If you are not completely satisfied with any of our professional services or facilities, you will receive a credit for those services, plus an additional 10%.
